The auditions for MUNCHKINS (Boys and Girls) will be on Wednesday May 21st at 4.15pm at The Alwoodley Community Centre, The Avenue, Alwoodley, LEEDS LS17 7NZ
The children will be taught a short dance sequence, and will be expected to be familiar with the song DING DONG THE WITCH IS DEAD. The lower age limit is 7 and the upper age limit has a playing age of 12 and under (i.e. a small 13 year old could be considered). Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
The show is at the LEEDS CITY VARIETIES from 18th – 22nd November 2008. Rehearsals will take place from early September onwards in North Leeds and in Guiseley. Those chosen will need to be available – and not on holiday – for all of that period.
There is a reduced non-returnable “Show Fee” (a bit like a membership) for children of £20.00.
Cast members are expected to sell a minimum of 30 tickets over the week through our booking system (NOT the theatre box office) and professionally produced literature is available to assist with this.
Please do not audition if you are (or hope to be) involved in another Production in the period September – November 2008.
Tickets for WIZARD OF OZ are on sale NOW and an early booking discount of £1.00 per seat is available until September.
Children in a PRP production will be well looked after by professional child chaperones, and will have the very best of theatrical training. In return they will be expected to be have a HUGE amount of fun, be disciplined and work hard!
We shall also be looking for general ensemble shortly.
